Our Stall at Parnell Farmers’ Market

March 24, 2018 @ 8:00 am

Since its foundation in September 1841, Parnell has hosted myriad people and events:  Robert Tod – Te Rauparaha’s internment – artist Don Binney – the ‘Balloonist of Parnell’ – Major von Tempsky – Miss Chatty Atkyns (Belle of Parnell) – the Parnell Shakespeare Club – and the lives of many more unique and fascinating men and women.

Ever alert to current changes, the energetic members of Parnell Heritage Inc. work constantly to preserve this unique heritage with friendly meetings, events and research.  This latter aspect results in the publication of top quality journals covering records from the past 177 years.  Come and have a look at them at our Farmers’ Market stall on Saturday 24th March 2018.  A set of 5 journals ($20) make an excellent gift, or singly at $5.

Also, we will be selling plants of the rare and beautiful Parnell Heritage Rose.  Hope to see you there!
